Embrace Create Connect is a national conference which will bring together venues, companies and individual artists that have or work with learning disability.

Embrace Create Connect will:

• Explore the strength and diversity of learning disability arts work
• Create a showcase of work made by, and with learning disabled artists
• Connect performers, participants, producers and promoters through debate, shared learning and inspiration

> Quality and aesthetics:

• of the work that is currently being produced
• of artistic process, exploring if all work should be for public consumption
• how can mainstream values flex their aesthetic to enable learning disability work to be successfully shown?

> How do learning disabled artists contribute to the development of the arts?

> Artist / organsational journeys highlighting successes and lessons learned

> Marketing and Communications:

• what is good marketing practice?
• who are the target audience and how do we ensure that the work will reach and resonate with the widest possible markets?
• welcome all audiences
• using inclusive language

• Take part in active workshops with Action Space Mobile and DanceSyndrome
• Engage in creative conversations and discussions with Heart n Soul, Mind the Gap, Zinc, Oska Bright and Hijinx

Friday 16 March, from 9.30am

• Experience live performances including DanceSyndrome, Movers Theatre Company and Heavy Load
• Take part in active workshops with First Movement, Magpie Dance Company and Bamboozle
• Engage in creative conversations and discussions with Stay Up Late, Shape, The Sage Gateshead and Thalia Theatre Company
