The Community Foundation for Northern Ireland has changed its grant-making processes and now has one-point of entry to its various grant programmes through an online application. The Foundation manages funding from a variety of sources enabling community organisations to make a real difference in people's lives. In 2009-10, the Community Foundation for Northern Ireland dispensed £1.1 million in grants to community and voluntary organisations across Northern Ireland.
They will from now on link and match your application to the most appropriate fund behind the scenes - "You need not worry about which fund is right for you." Grants are available up to £5,000, however, the greater number of applications will not exceed £1,500. Organisations with an annual income over £250,000 cannot apply.
Applicants are encouraged to check the current funding priorities of the Foundation via their website and submit a single application for funding where they feel the priorities of the Foundation's grant-making match their work plan for the year.
The Foundation's Priorities include community arts
To apply, applications should be made using the online application process. The application form has Part A and Part B and can be accessed on the Foundation's website www.communityfoundationni.org. If you have any queries or would like to know more email applications@communityfoundationni.org.
