The Gannett Foundation provides funding to support registered charities in areas in which Newsquest publications are circulated.
Grants are available for a range of community projects that take a creative approach to local fundamental issues. National or regional registered charities may apply if the project address local community needs within specified locations above.
The Foundation supports projects which take a creative approach to local community needs from which a large number of people in that community benefit.
Priority will be given to:
- projects of lasting benefit such as a specially adapted minibus for elderly people or people with disabilities;
- projects that benefit people with special needs, either through disability or disadvantage;
- sport, environment, conservation and local history projects.
