Sport for Life is fun and vibrant professional coaching organisation delivering structured sports and physical activities to expatriate children in Shanghai, Suzhou and Hangzhou.

Since 2004, Sport for Life has worked with leading International Schools and residential club houses providing a range of sports, activities, leagues and performances in sports such as basketball, football, swimming, dance, gymnastics and tennis. Sport for Life has a strong team of full-time international coaches from the Europe, U.S.A and Australia, all qualified to deliver their respective activities.

All classes are taught in English and are taught for progression using leading curriculums where possible. The local Chinese administration team provide excellent support to enable program growth and excellent customer service.

About the role:

We are looking to recruit a full-time, qualified Dance Teacher to join our coaching team. As a growing organisation, our teachers/coaches have the ability to make a huge impact within the organisation. Day-to-day you will be responsible for planning and delivering all your weekly classes. We teach for progression leading up to the seasonal dance showcase where all students perform in an auditorium for family and friends.

You will be travelling to and from venues during the week to classes and some time will be spent in the office ensuring all class records are regularly updated with the administration team. The role of Dance Teacher requires the individual to be qualified to teach a range of styles and at least one years’ experience of coaching different ages and
abilities.

The successful candidate will look upon dance as a creative art form, who loves teaching it to children 3-16 years old. We are looking for a teacher with a passion for dance and who believes in the benefits of dance, what it can give a child and how you can, through dance, grow as an individual. You need to be creative, outgoing, smiley and love what you do. You will have the ability to engage both students and their parents in Sport for Life programs, camps and events.

A coach will typically work a set amount of teaching hours throughout the year, approximately 15-25 hour per week, not including travel. For the right candidate development opportunities are available for career progression.

The role aims to start in September 2016.
