Youth Employability Skills Coordinator - North West

The Lowry is looking for a Youth Employability Skills Coordinator to work in partnership with teams across The Lowry and with a range of external organisations to provide opportunities, placements, mentoring and training to support young people’s development and effectively build their employability skills.
The Lowry is an internationally acclaimed cultural landmark situated at the heart of MediaCityUK, one of the world’s most exciting culture and media destinations.
Contract: 37.5 hours per week, one year fixed-term contract.
About the role
We are looking for a Youth Employability Skills Coordinator to work in partnership with teams across The Lowry and with a range of external organisations to provide opportunities, placements, mentoring and training that uses the arts as a tool to support young people’s development and effectively build their employability skills.
The role will require you to engage young people in a course of intervention, embedding creative learning, aimed at building, shaping and realising their employability skills. You will have a strong commitment to safeguarding, training and health & safety.
Excellent communication and networking skills, understanding of the needs of young people and the ability to communicate effectively and inspire young people are all essential.
The ideal candidate will have experience in youth &/or community engagement and a qualification in youth work, community work, community arts, coaching or similar.
