The Arts Council Plan 2011-15 sets out what they will do to deliver their Achieving great art for everyone goals and priorities over the years 2011-15.
The Plan proposes how the Arts Council will use their role as an investor, developer and champion of the arts to ensure the arts play an even greater role in our national life.
The Arts Council aim to add value to the work of arts organisations, working as an impresario, developer, advocate, critical friend and advice service, providing the kind of sensitive support that allows artists and arts organisations across the country to fulfill their potential.
At the heart of the Plan is a desire to support and enable artistic excellence to flourish; ensuring everyone has access to high quality arts experiences and promoting debate and discussion about what excellence really means.
The Arts Council want to unleash a greater range of England’s artistic talent, firm in their belief that better art is created when opportunities to experience the best in art are open to all in society.
