Dance to Health is a pioneering nationwide falls prevention dance programme for older people. Combining movement from evidence-based physiotherapy programmes with the creativity, expression and energy of dance, Dance to Health reduces the risk of an older person suffering a fall.

The Dance to Health Programmes use evidence-based falls prevention exercise programmes within a creative dance class. Each programme runs one dance session per week over six months plus a small amount of homework; a total of 50 hours.

The Assistant Dance Artist roles are to assist the Dance Artist in delivering a falls prevention dance programme.

Training
Assistant Dance Artists will be required to attend a Cascade training day in North Oxfordshire on Thursday 23rd November, venues to be confirmed. This training must be completed in order to begin the role, if you are unable to attend the above date we may also schedule another date in December so please do let us know.
