Dance City is looking for an experienced teacher to deliver their Boyz Moves class at Dance City every Friday afternoon during term time, starting on Friday 12th May. The style of the class fuses contemporary, breakdancing and hip hop. Strong choreography skills will be required as the group perform annually in the Boyz Moves platform and at least once a year in the Dance City end of term shows.
The classes run during term time on Fridays for boys aged 7-14 from 5.00pm-6.00pm. This is a fixed term contract. Teachers are then contracted on a termly basis if target numbers are met.
We require an instructor with the following attributes:
- At least 1 years’ experience of delivering classes to young people with different abilities.
- Trained in different dance styles such as Contemporary, Hip Hop and Breakdance.
- Experience of inspiring young people and retaining participants throughout a programme.
- The ability to remain calm and in control of a dynamic and energetic young class.
- A current DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service) certificate, First Aid certificate, Safeguarding Children certificate and an Equality and Diversity certificate, or are willing to undertake these courses at their own cost.
