DanceXchange is working in partnership with the Living Arts Network, supported by Arts Connect, to deliver a high-quality creative dance and music project across a network of 5 schools, culminating in a celebratory performance event at Town Hall Birmingham.
The project aims to develop the skills, creativity and confidence of the students, and to inspire the teaching workforce with creative approaches that they can use beyond the life of the project.
The collaborative artistic process will reflect the students’ voices and will explore the core themes of individuality and identity, whilst developing mutual respect and a sense of pride in their communities.
We are inviting expressions of interest from Midlands-based musicians and dance artists who are interested to work collaboratively to devise high-quality original music and movement which genuinely reflects the young people’s voices and is engaging and accessible to a large schools’ audience.
If you are a confident and passionate artist with a track record of working with young people and devising high-quality work suitable for performance, we’d love to hear from you!
