DanceEast is looking for a dynamic and responsible team member to support the leadership and development of the DanceEast Centre for Advanced Training (CAT) programme.

Based in the purpose-built Jerwood DanceHouse on the Ipswich waterfront, the CAT Officer will form a central part of the small, fast-paced team responsible for the development and delivery of the core CAT programme within the wider Creative Team.

With activity that spans Suffolk, Norfolk, Essex, and Cambridge, you will be the first point of contact for CAT students, families, tutors and partners; responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations as well as contributing to ongoing development of the programme. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in a pioneering pre-vocational dance training initiative.

We are looking for an excellent communicator and administrator who cares about supporting young people to achieve their potential. You should have strong organisational skills, be adept at multi-tasking, and be able to work with budgets. Experience of working in arts education would be an advantage.

The role includes coordinating student wellbeing; managing data; marketing support; coordination of projects, workshops, and events; supporting the pastoral needs of young people; and contributing to the Safeguarding provision at DanceEast. Flexibility around evenings/weekends is essential.
