This post offers an excellent opportunity for someone with some experience of external communications
to take the next step in their career with the support of the friendly and experienced team at
People Dancing. The right candidate will relish working as part of a team and have the potential
to show innovation and leadership, growing their experience and confidence by working in line
with People Dancing’s values, to reach and engage diverse existing and new audiences and
members.
The Communications & Digital Engagement Officer will work closely with, and be line managed by, People Dancing's
Executive Director, who leads the communications strategy & overall strategic planning and is
involved with decision-making around content, tone and messaging. Our approach as an
organisation is to work collaboratively within and across teams, in a supportive environment that
encourages professional and personal development.
A catalyst for change in and through participatory dance, People Dancing's work includes a diverse programme of professional development and strategic projects that make a positive difference to dance and the arts nationally and internationally. Our networks and membership bring together 4,500 dancers, teaching artists, community practitioners and organisations world-wide, united by a passionate belief that dance is for everyone. Equality and inclusion are enshrined in our vision, purpose, objectives, and practices, and have guided our work for 35 years.
This is a great opportunity to join a successful and internationally respected organisation at a critical time for dance and the arts, for the artists and organisations we work with, and for people and communities who dance.
Come and join us!
