Communications & Digital Engagement Officer
Location: Leicester
Salary: £23,000- £25,000 PA (Full time, permanent contract, open to flexible working/job share)

People Dancing, the national development organisation and membership body for participatory and community dance, is looking for a Communications & Digital Engagement Officer. This is a key role within the organisation will help shape and deliver external communications, including digital platforms, to key stakeholders, People Dancing’s members and wider audiences, in an inclusive and accessible way.

 

This post offers an excellent opportunity for someone with some experience of external communications to take the next step in their career with the support of the friendly and experienced team at People Dancing. The right candidate will relish working as part of a team and have the potential to show innovation and leadership, growing their experience and confidence by working in line with People Dancing’s values, to reach and engage diverse existing and new audiences and members.

The Communications & Digital Engagement Officer will work closely with, and be line managed by, People Dancing's Executive Director, who leads the communications strategy & overall strategic planning and is involved with decision-making around content, tone and messaging. Our approach as an organisation is to work collaboratively within and across teams, in a supportive environment that encourages professional and personal development.

A catalyst for change in and through participatory dance, People Dancing's work includes a diverse programme of professional development and strategic projects that make a positive difference to dance and the arts nationally and internationally. Our networks and membership bring together 4,500 dancers, teaching artists, community practitioners and organisations world-wide, united by a passionate belief that dance is for everyone.
