With thanks to financial support from the Arts
Council of Wales and the Foyle Foundation, this internships will offer a 6 month paid
training programme to develop skills of a dance artist to facilitate sessions and projects
with people of all ages and abilities across Gwynedd, Conwy and Anglesey.
1 x Internship scheme for a Welsh speaker or learner with an A Level/BTEC in Dance/ Performing Arts or at least 2 years experience of regular dance training.
This scheme welcomes those with basic Welsh or are learning Welsh and are keen to
develop their skills in leading dance sessions through Welsh.
The Internship will take
place over 6 months. You will receive training for 16 hours per week at a training wage
of between £8.21-£10 an hour depending on experience, plus travelling expenses. The
training will involve working specifically with people with disabilities and other groups
that work specifically through the medium of Welsh. At the end of the training, there will
be an opportunity to work for Dawns i Bawb as a freelance dance practitioner, working
specifically on our Dance & Disability programme and our Adults Programme across the theres counties.
Requirements

An A Level/BTEC in Dance/Performing Arts or have received at least 2 years of regular
dance training
- We welcome applications from Welsh learners who agree to commit to developing their
Welsh language skills as part of their training
- Applicants should have an interest in Community Dance practice
- Applicants should be based in, or live in close proximity to, Gwynedd, Conwy and
Anglesey
- We would prefer applicants to have a drivers licence and access to a car as regular
travelling to sessions across the three counties will be required
- All successful applicants must undergo an Enhanced DBS check
