Protein welcome applicants from a diverse range of cultural and dance backgrounds, and encourage artists from BAME communities to apply.
The Project:
Part of Real Life, Real Dance: An Intensive Performance Project for a Pupil Referral Unit
Based on a model that Protein has developed over the past ten years, this project aims to build young people’s confidence, self-worth and achievement through their incorporation within a professional dance company.
Over an intensive three-week residency at ARC Stockton, Protein will work with participants to create a performance presented at the end of the project to staff, family and friends. The project offers the participants an intense period of daily classes, creative workshops, rehearsals and work towards a performance for an audience.
