The commission is part of IGNITE 19/20 and follows several highly successful IGNITE projects, all ACW lottery funded. IGNITE aims to provide new, inventive and exciting opportunities to challenge and develop community dancers living in Monmouthshire.
Previous Ignite projects culminated in highly acclaimed performances with works commissioned from, Citrus Arts, John Ross (John Ross Dance), Paul Bayes Kitcher (Fallen Angels Dance Theatre Company), Wayne Parsons, Ballet Nimba, Mathieu Geffré (NDCWales) Chloe Loftus and Lauren Poulton, Jack Philip and Beth Powesland Kapow Dance.
IGNITE 2020 will build on the success of past Ignite projects, developing the technical, choreographic and performance skills.
