The Dance Development Artist is part of the Cheshire Dance core team, working in partnership with CWaC Council. The majority of the work will take place in this borough, however, there will also be Cheshire-wide initiatives and regional projects that the postholder will be involved in.
The successful candidate will manage all aspects of the development and delivery of Cheshire Dance’s regular programme and the Development Plan for CWaC and will initiate and manage projects responding to partnership priorities. They will explore new dance opportunities for specifically targeted groups and populations within the Borough and will advocate for the transformative effects of dance.
An ideal postholder will be a confident and clear communicator who is highly organised and able to work independently. They will be committed to developing their own creative practice valuing awareness, authenticity, enquiry, flexibility, diversity and ownership, and keen to support a large pool of artists, participants and partners.
Cheshire Dance values diversity in its workforce, as it does in its artistic programme and will support the professional development of the post-holder. We aim to attract a mix of applicants from different backgrounds, going further than simply reflecting the stakeholders and geographic areas we currently serve. We particularly welcome expressions of interest from under-represented groups in dance and the arts.
