Surface Area Dance Theatre
Fundraising Consultant
Location: North East of England and home working
Salary: £18,000 pro rata for 16 hours per week
Deadline: 15 September 2024
We are seeking a Fundraising Consultant to help us raise money through grants and awards. You’ll manage grants, build donor relationships, and secure funding. You'll work with a small team to meet our fundraising goals. This job is perfect for someone who loves fundraising and wants to make a difference in the community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategy: Create and implement fundraising plans
  • Fundraising: Organise community events, corporate donations, and online fundraising
  • Relationships: Build and maintain donor relationships
  • Research: Find new funding opportunities
  • Reporting: Write impact reports for funders and trustees
  • Promotion: Attend events to promote our charity
  • Admin Support: Assist with fundraising admin tasks.

Person Specification

  • Experience: Preferably in Grants and Awards fundraising
  • Skills: Strong organisation, communication, and presentation skills
  • Attributes: Self-motivated, creative, and independent worker
  • Technical Skills: Good with MS Office and databases
  • Flexibility: Able to work some evenings and weekends.

Essential Skills

  • Proven success in raising funds
  • Experience in building funding pipelines and growing supporter base
  • Ability to write compelling fundraising stories
  • Skilled in presenting to donors and funders
  • Good at managing budgets and financial reports.

Desirable Skills

  • Knowledge of UK funding sources
  • Project management experience
  • Website and content management skills
  • Experience in mentoring and managing teams.
