Funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund, this post will be responsible for overseeing the archiving of Akademi material, the production of a Heritage book and online learning materials, coordination of a number of community and young people’s workshops culminating in showcase presentations and the project management of a series of short films celebrating Akademi’s history.
The role is offered on a fixed term part-time basis (3 days per week) for 10 months with a starting date of as early as possible in 2020.
You must have experience as a project manager (or similar) within an arts environment – and excellent coordination and relationship management skills including volunteer management.
Experience of working on heritage and / or archiving projects and within community arts settings is highly desirable.
Akademi’s mission is to develop artists, inspire audiences and change lives by creating, commissioning and nurturing classical, contemporary, popular and participatory South Asian dance in the UK.
Over the past few years they have worked in the Southbank Centre, Trafalgar Square and across England to bring South Asian dance to new audiences.
