Leeds Dance Partnership has a vision for Leeds to become an international centre for dance – a dancing city that will provide leadership in the North for the development of the art form locally, nationally and internationally.
A number of organisations and independent artists from across the region have come together to make this vision a reality, including, amongst others, Northern Ballet, Yorkshire Dance, Phoenix Dance Theatre, Leeds Beckett University, Northern School of Contemporary Dance, representatives from the Independent Dance Sector and West Yorkshire Playhouse.
You will be responsible for agreed areas of an Ambition for Excellence programme funded by Arts Council England which includes commissioning, capacity building, diversity, talent and audience development.
You will work with a wide range of stakeholders at all levels of engagement, to project manage initiatives in learning and engagement, place making, research and network development and the role dance plays in the health, well-being and physical activity agenda.
This is an exciting, transformative role and is key to the success of Leeds Dance Partnership.
Programme design and delivery will be undertaken in association with partners, working groups and relevant networks.
The post-holder will be employed by Northern Ballet and will report to the Partnership Director.
Highly experienced in initiating, developing and managing work programmes, you will have a strong track record in project and stakeholder management.
With experience of working in the cultural or public sector and knowledge about dance, you will have well established professional relationships and networks and experience of successful fundraising and income generation.
