An exciting and challenging opportunity for an experienced marketing and communications professional arises at English Folk Dance and Song Society

The Marketing and Communications Director, working closely with the Chief Executive, is responsible for the direction, implementation and successful delivery of communications, marketing, media, digital and audience development activities for the English Folk Dance and Song Society. Principal deliverables are to manage and enhance the public face of the organisation; to promote the folk arts generally; to support development and delivery of the organisation’s wider strategic objectives; and to maximise revenue.

The role-holder is also responsible for the management and strategic development of the organisation’s CRM and box office system, Spektrix.

The post requires strategic thinking, creativity and the ability and willingness to be hands-on.

As a member of the Senior Management Team, the post-holder will continually improve the organisation’s national and international profile, increasing awareness of and engagement with the organisation in a wide range of contexts, alongside the local profile of Cecil Sharp House. The post-holder will contribute to leadership and strategic development of the organisation as a whole.

Salary: £43,277 pa full-time (Candidates wishing to work 0.8 FTE, 28 hours per week with pro rata salary etc., will be considered).
