This is a 1 year contract on a 3 month review contract at 20 hours a week that reports to the Operations Manager.
Marketing
- Leading on and developing marketing campaigns
- Representing Para Dance UK at public events
- Be responsible for external PR & Marketing events and maximising opportunities for communications activity.
PR
- Identify press opportunities or responses based on current things in our industry externally (policy & industry/sectoral)
- Identify or write press opportunities or responses for all internal activity
- Keep records of press communications activity
- Develop corporate messages and disseminate proactively
- Assess and oversee photos and films for our organisation
- Source pictures and images for our publications.
Social Media
- Manage all social media activity (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn etc.)
- Review all analytics
- Seek opportunities to improve the use of social media and develop 'followers'.
Print and e-communications
- Contributing copy to the monthly e-update
- Editing and promoting all publications and distribution of our events and materials as appropriate.
Person Specification
- Strong project management and organisational skills
- A good knowledge of marketing techniques and their application including development of campaigns from inception to delivery
- Market research experience relating to product development and route to market activity
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with a range of audiences from across a number of disciplines
- Ability to utilise social media and web applications to support market activity and corporate image
- Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other members and partners
- Ability to exercise judgement, identifying and managing risk and making clear, informed, appropriate, pragmatic and timely decisions within a highly pressurised environment
- Good written and oral communication skills
- IT literate: Familiar with using word processing, databases, spread sheets, and web applications including email, e-marketing, s-surveys, e-discussion groups, etc
- Stamina, energy and enthusiasm to handle the demands from across the organisation.
