People Dancing’s second international conference was held at Tramway, Glasgow, on 3-5 October

Glasgow 2017, the second People Dancing international conference, was a unique opportunity to hear from world-leading individuals and organisations, take part in workshops and discussions, and watch performance while networking with colleagues from across the globe.

The programme focused on three areas reflecting innovations and current participatory dance practices:
  • Cultural identity and sense of place
  • Older people dancing
  • Dance for people living with Parkinson’s.

Magdalena Schamberger, Artistic Director and CEO, Hearts and Minds
Natasha Gilmore, Artistic Director, Barrowland Ballet
