Support our fundraising campaign to create an accessible online archive

In partnership with De Montfort University, People Dancing has been awarded a Collaborative Research Award through The Culture Capital Exchange programme.  The awards are given to promote the exchange of universities' knowledge and expertise with the cultural and creative sectors.

Throughout Autumn 2016 People Dancing and our principal researcher from DMU, Jayne Stevens will research issues concerning the capture, interpretation and dissemination of community and participatory dance practices developed in the UK over the last 30 years.  Our long-term ambition is to develop a ‘living archive’ for such practices.

Our collaborative project is called ‘The Museum of Us: Archiving Community Dance’,  and in December we will launch a fundraising campaign to support the long-term development of this project. If you are interested in supporting the campaign and finding out more about it please contact: Ruth Bates, Development Manager
