Disability Arts Online (DAO) is a unique web journal for discussion of arts and culture. DAO gives disabled and deaf artists, performers, film-makers, writers and critics a place to talk about and share artistic practice.

Who is DAO for?
DAO welcomes mid-career or emerging artists and companies who work under the umbrella of disability arts, to share artistic development; discuss issues; and get encouragement and knowledge about the value of disability / deaf arts and culture.

DAO is a tool for students! With many links to Higher and Further Education resources and as a provider of information and advice to students who are either on disability studies courses or researching disability arts.

As a resource for continuing professional development DAO is a networking tool and a reference point in supporting disabled artists in developing their careers.
