Course length: one day
Do you have the skills and confidence you need to work effectively with disabled dance participants? This one-day course will give you the opportunity to gain knowledge, ask questions, discuss language, develop skills and adapt material to work with disabled and non-disabled dancers alike.
Course content includes:

  • Give dance practitioners the opportunity to discuss disability in a safe and supported space
  • Exploring the importance of effective communication with disabled dance participants and developing vocabulary skills
  • Identifying potential needs, concerns, challenges and opportunities relating to six broad areas of disability
  • Exploring adaption techniques in relation to dance practice.
