Under 26 bursary
Your chance to claim an Under 26 bursary for the People Dancing Summer School 2018

People Dancing is offering a number of bursaries for young people aged 18 to 26 who would like to attend courses at the People Dancing Summer School 2018, between 23 and 28 July at De Montfort University, Leicester.

Bursaries are available for each of the following courses:
  1. Improving your teaching skills for community practice (bursaries sponsored by People Dancing)
  2. Introduction to teaching Performance-Parkour (2PK) (bursaries sponsored by People Dancing)
  3. Developing Youth Dance Practice (bursaries sponsored by One Dance UK)
  4. Teaching dance in primary schools (bursaries sponsored by One Dance UK)
  5. A most contagious dance (bursaries sponsored by People Dancing).

Each bursary is worth £48, bringing the price of these one-day courses down to £47 for bursary recipients.

Bursary applicants must:
  • be between the ages of 18 and 26 on 28 July 2018
  • be resident in the UK
  • be interested in pursuing a career in dance teaching / leading / facilitation
  • be committed to continuing professional development
  • have a sound grounding in at least one dance style.
