Michael Joseph biography

Michael Joseph trained at Rambert School of Ballet & Contemporary Dance and was a recipient of Art Council’s Dance for the Camera Traineeship (Camera Department). He worked as part of Union Dance Company as a freelance dancer, Rehearsal Director and left as an Assistant Artistic Director. He has worked with a wide range of companies and choreographers including  Doug Elkins, Bill T. Jones, Laurie Booth, Rafael Bonachela, Colin Poole, Bawren Tavaziva and Vincent Mantsoe.

In addition to featuring in a number of films and TV productions (including Knights and Emeralds and Season 3 of Mr Selfridge) he has choreographed extensively, including a section of Dance Tek Warriors for Union Dance which is now set on the GCSE Dance Syllabus.

He is a visiting lecturer for University of Bedfordshire and has taught at Curve Theatre Leicester, Union Dance, The Place Children Youth Programme, for Hot House Dance and the Wheelchair Dance Sports Association.
