Wed 29 & Thurs 30 July: Introduction to dance for people living with Parkinson's

Presented by Dance for Parkinson’s Partnership UK at People Dancing and English National Ballet

This two day course will provide participants with an insight into how to structure dance classes for people living with Parkinson’s, as well as focusing on the artistic imperative behind a Parkinson’s dance programme. Dance artists will gain an overview of the effects of the condition on dance participants, learn how to ensure safety for all participants and benefit from the practical experience of devising and delivering content for a dance for Parkinson’s class.

Participation requirements:

Course participants must have successfully completed the – Introduction to dance for Parkinson's online learning programme – (at the reduced Summer School rate of £40 - further information in application form) and the related online assessment a minimum of 10 working days prior to taking part in the course.

* Please note this course is not suitable for those starting out in their career as community dance artists, students in training, nor would we recommend it to exercise professionals unless you can demonstrate significant dance experience.
