Alive Contemporary Dance Company look forward to welcoming a guest choreographer to create a new piece of work for our December performance. Interested artists should be available for the show date, which will be a Saturday in early to mid December (exact date to be confirmed). The successful applicant should also be available for two Sunday rehearsals immediately prior to the show date.

The conception time for your piece will entail a 2-hour rehearsal each Wednesday evening for six consecutive weeks beginning on Wednesday 16 August and finishing on Wednesday 20 September.

Alive is made up of a creative, diverse, yet cohesive group of performers, some who have been dancing together for nearly 5 years. There is a range of experience and ability in the group, but what we all share is a mutual passion for movement exploration and expression.

We welcome challenging thoughtful approaches to (and practices of) choreography, which will further enhance Alive's already strong dance and performance acumen.

Three successful artists will be invited to deliver a workshop with the company at one of our Wednesday rehearsals on either 26 July, 2 August or 9 August, after which one artist will be selected.
