Access to Work is a resource that helps to create a more accessible work environment. It provides grants to remove barriers that disabled people face in undertaking paid employment.

Access to Work is a resource that helps to create a more accessible work environment. It provides grants to remove barriers that disabled people face in undertaking paid employment.

In 2019, Artist and consultant Cathy Waller in collaboration with Disability Arts Online, researched and developed an accessible guide to Access to Work for the Arts and Cultural Sector. Continuing this work, Cathy delivers sessions across the sector to demystify the application process and provides top tips on getting access support in place to assist your artistic practice.

In this discussion based session, Cathy will explain what Access to Work can provide, how to apply, how to use the grant and how it can support disabled artists and their collaborators to thrive in the Arts.

This session is primarily for artists on the Sense National Inclusive Dance Programme, however as People Dancing is a delivery partner, we have a small number of places available for our members and non-members.

The session will be supported by British Sign Language (BSL) interpreters and closed captions (CC) will be available.

This Zoom event is free of charge to People Dancing Members and non-Members who identify as disabled, and £15 for non-Members.

Bookings for this event are now closed.

Booking deadline: 09:00 UTC Monday 14 November 2022.
