We Are Epic
Applications are now open for EPIC Individuals
Location: UK based
Deadline: 31 August 2026
We’re looking for a cohort of Disabled, D/deaf and/or Neurodivergent young artists with creative ambition, curiosity and the potential to grow careers in the arts.

They don’t necessarily need to be the most polished or experienced applicants. We want people who are ready to explore, collaborate and shape their own creative careers, and who will both benefit from and contribute to a supportive community of artists.

EPIC Individuals is a career development programme designed to support young Disabled, D/deaf and Neurodivergent artists to explore personalised pathways towards sustainable arts careers. Through collaboration labs, training opportunities, mentoring, and specialist guidance, participants will develop their skills, make contacts, and bring their creative projects to life. Working together as a cohort, our artists will report back on what they discover, becoming a voice to encourage Disabled-led change in the sector.

It has been made possible with funding from Youth Music’s Shift The Scene Fund, and supported by their research.

Who is eligible?

You are eligible to apply if:

  • You are an artist / creative practitioner between the ages of 18 and 30
  • You are based in the UK
  • You identify as Disabled, D/deaf and/or Neurodivergent. Your artistic practice contains a live performance element.

What will participants get?

Artists will be part of EPIC Individuals for at least 3 years, during which time they will receive:

  • Individual career support
  • Industry mentoring
  • Paid creative opportunities
  • Funding to develop their own ideas
  • Performance opportunities
  • Cross-artform collaborations
  • Masterclasses with industry professionals
  • Access support tailored to them
  • Connections with leading arts organisations
  • And a participation stipend to support the time they devote to the project.
