This is an exciting time to join The Place and LCDS as Research Officer. Following the approval of our RKE Strategy 2024-29, we are entering a phase of expanding and strengthening research and knowledge exchange activity with academic colleagues, Public Programmes teams, professional staff, and external partners.
The primary purpose of this role is to coordinate and support the operations and administration of research and knowledge exchange at The Place. This includes coordinating our PhD programme in partnership with UAL, supporting preparations for the Research Excellence Framework (REF), and helping to develop a vibrant research culture through activities such as our newly established research clusters. The role will also occasionally contribute to Knowledge Exchange, coordinating institutional Knowledge Exchange Framework (KEF), Higher Education Innovation Fund (HEIF) and Higher Education Business and Community Interaction (HE-BCI) activity.
You will coordinate research projects and events, maintain systems and databases to track outputs, impact and funding, and work closely with internal and external stakeholders to strengthen research and knowledge exchange development. You will also contribute to impact case studies, funding applications, financial monitoring, and the continuous improvement of systems, processes and procedures.
