Restoke are looking for a dance artist with experience of working with children, particularly children with additional support needs. You’ll be confident supporting children with different ways of communicating, participating and expressing themselves, and able to respond with warmth, patience and flexibility

Key responsibilities

• Provide additional support to children in Restoke Small Folk
• Model and join in all movement activities
• Support creative tasks by working with individuals, pairs or groups to realise their ideas
• Work alongside the session leader to inspire children to move and create
• Leading small moments of the sessions (eg. warm up/cool down)
• Help children feel comfortable, included and able to participate
• Share relevant observations or concerns with the session leader and Restoke team
• Follow Restoke's safeguarding policies and procedures
• Ensure registers are completed and that children arrive and leave the building safely

Restoke are looking for someone who

• Has dance skills and a genuine interest in creative dance
• Has experience working with children, ideally including children with additional support needs Is creative, imaginative and enthusiastic about helping children explore movement
• Is calm, patient and able to adapt to different needs and ways of participating
• Enjoys working collaboratively
• Is punctual and reliable
• Is committed to creating a welcoming, inclusive space where every child can take part.
