Across five online sessions, you’ll dive into film screenings, group discussions, and practical creative tasks that unpack how movement operates within the frame. You'll explore how the camera responds to and shapes that movement, how editing influences rhythm and energy, and how sound adds depth to the visual. Together, we’ll investigate how screen-based work can speak to the viewer physically — engaging the senses and the body.
No prior technical experience is necessary. Whether you're a dancer curious about film, a filmmaker ready to rethink your process, or someone entirely new to both, you'll be encouraged to bring what you have — or start from scratch. If you already have a background in filmmaking, this course offers a chance to shift your perspective, using movement as the foundation for experimentation.
This is not about learning the rules of how films should be made. It’s about discovering what happens when we start with the body — and imagine how films could be made.
