Holding Space Practitioner Training
Deadline: 07 November 2026
This two-day experiential training is designed for Dance Artists and Movement Psychotherapists who want to develop confidence, ideas, and practical skills for leading therapeutic movement and wellbeing groups.

Across the training, participants will explore the award- winning Breathe Dance Model, using it as a framework to inspire and develop their own therapeutic dance and movement groups. Breathe is a dance for wellbeing class that combines the joy, connection and inclusivity of community dance , with the depth, wisdom and therapeutic principles of Dance and Movement Psychotherapy. You will learn how to hold safe, trauma-informed, creative, and supportive spaces where participants can connect with their bodies, emotions, creativity, and each other.

This training offers an introduction to facilitation skills, session design, and group-holding principles, providing the confidence and tools to begin your own wellbeing or therapeutic movement groups. Run by highly experienced community Dance Artist and Dance Movement Psychotherapist, Katy Dunne. Participants will receive a certificate of completion, and for Dance Movement Psychotherapists, the training can contribute 12 hours toward CPD credits.
