This Act was created in order to prevent or try to prevent harm to vulnerable people – whether those people are adults or children.
This Act was created in order to prevent or try to prevent harm to vulnerable people – whether those people are adults or children. It also seeks to stop people deemed as being unsuitable from working with vulnerable adults or children. As a result of the Act the Independent Safeguarding Authority was established on an 1 December 2010 it merged with the Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) to become the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
