Disability Arts Online (DAO) is a unique online magazine and community for discussion of arts and culture. DAO gives disabled, D/deaf and neurodiverse artists, performers, film-makers, writers and critics a place to talk about and share artistic practice.
Who is DAO for?
DAO welcomes all artists and companies who work under the umbrella of disability arts, to share artistic development; discuss issues and insights; and get encouragement and knowledge about the value of disability arts and culture. Its resources webpages feature guides, toolkits, research and reports created by DAO and the wider arts sector, offering artists and organisations a breadth of expertise, practical advice and knowledge relating to arts access. Alongside this, it offers artist development programmes, consultancy, accessible events and training for disabled artists and arts organisations.
Why not engage with the wider community?
DAO offers an opportunity to share life stories and to connect with a wider community of disabled people engaged in arts and culture.
