Take Part is a distinctive approach to learning that enables people to make an active contribution to their communities and influence public policies and services.

Take Part learning is:
  • Learner-centred
  • Experiential
  • Active and reflective
  • Community-based
Take part learning is underpinned by the values of participation cooperation, equality and diversity and social justice. The approach is highly flexible and responsive to individual and group backgrounds, needs and wants.

The website holds a collection of resources developed by members of the Take Part Network, the Community Development Foundation and the Workers Educational Association.

Resource Themes include:

  • Issue based
  • Specific target groups
  • Community leadership and management
  • Developing citizens’ skills and confidence; and
  • Understanding and influencing structures and processes.
These resources allow anybody working with community groups and citizens to expand their range of materials for Take Part and help anyone less familiar with Take Part to gain a deeper understanding.

Access all of these resources, news updates, events information and the Take Part Trainers Directory at the Take Part website, by clicking here.
