The Language of Dance provides activities that are a fresh approach for children to explore dance. Using a combination of basic movement symbols and some elementary choreography, it enables children to generate their own ideas for dance and explore them in an environment that is both supportive and inspiring. Language of Dance is used as a tool to encourage the creative talents of children, and allows for creative development without self-consciousness.Language of Dance Trust delivers high quality free-of-charge dance activities entitled 'Dance Moves' to primary school children in London, provides courses for dancers, teachers and students in the area of Special Education as well as GCSE and A level and delivers community classes particularly for parents and toddlers. To support all of these activities we have produced numerous teaching resources and books including those suitable for children, adults and disabled dancers.
LOD provides the dancer with a framework to be creative within and a freedom to work to their own ability.
