Help champion the value of dance and its development in Cheshire as our General Manager!

In this busy and rewarding part-time role (21 hours a week), you'll work closely with the Director and the team to realise our artistic ambitions and ensure the smooth and effective day-to-day running of the organisation.

From managing all aspects of business and artistic planning, to managing budgets and leading stakeholder events, this busy and rewarding role is a great opportunity to work with a friendly team in a creative organisation with big ambitions.

Cheshire Dance seeks a General Manager to work closely with the Director and team to realise the artistic ambitions and uphold the charitable objects of Cheshire Dance, whilst ensuring that the organisation is stable, effective, financially resilient and sustainable in the long term.

From managing all aspects of business and artistic planning to ensuring the smooth running of the organisation day-to-day, from managing budgets and reporting on finance to supporting and leading stakeholder events and meetings, this is a varied and important role in the organisation.

You will have at least five years’ experience in a similar or related role ideally in the arts or non-for-profit sectors. You will have experience of managing budgets, working to financial targets, monitoring and evaluating projects, and researching and writing for proposals, reports and other communications.

With excellent organisation skills and an analytical mindset, you will be unafraid to innovate to develop and improve systems and processes. With a proven ability to communicate strategic and operational matters, you will have excellent verbal and written communication skills. You will also be a great collaborator, who can inspire, listen and motivate to build positive and trusting relationships with partners and stakeholders.
