Our qualifications and fees

Our qualifications are based on national occupational standards created by the arts sector. They have been designed for adult learners who have already gained a firm foundation in their chosen art form but need to evidence the additional skills that are needed to deliver arts activities safely and successfully.

The qualifications vary in size and complexity. ‘Size’ is measured in the number of hours of study required to gain the skills and knowledge needed to successfully obtain the qualification. The ‘size ‘of a qualification is indicated in its title so an ‘Award’ implies between 1 and 120 hours of learning, a ‘Certificate’ implies between 121 and 369 hours of learning and a ‘Diploma’ requires over 370 hours of learning. The level of complexity or depth of skills and knowledge is indicated by the qualifications level. The lower the level the less complex the qualification.

We are currently offering four qualifications, details of which can be found here. Further qualifications will be offered in due course.

Please click on the specification for more detail and get in touch if there are qualifications in a particular area that would help your practice.

The standard qualification fees quoted below cover the cost of assessment only. If you are a People Dancing Member or you take a qualification as part of a learning package the cost of assessment may be lower.
