Call for applicants: How do we respond to the world’s big questions through collaboration, intersection, and knowledge sharing?
Who What Where When How
Who: Three research practitioners from different subject areas such as Dance, Neuroscience, and Film who haven’t worked together before and would not be likely to meet otherwise (graduates or professionals only).
What: A 3-day collaborative research project from conception to presentation.
Where: Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance
When: Rambert Summer Sessions 2024, Friday 12th - Sunday 14th July
How: The newly formed research team will have 3 days to generate a research project based on an agreed theme or question responding to the call. Over the first 2 days the team will be invited to explore, take risks, and interrogate to produce a form creation to be shared with a live audience on the third day.
Provided by Rambert School, the team will have access to dance studio space, technical and IT support, relevant material resources, and additional dancers from the undergraduate cohorts (max three per project). Format inspired by Dansathon.
NOTE: This opportunity includes a daily fee of £150 given per collaborator alongside space and resources (including food and drink on all days). Accommodation is the responsibility of the participants, but local recommendations will be provided.
