Although not exclusively, they are particularly interested to hear from people with expertise in human resources (particularly with regard to legal matters / employment law), marketing & communications and fundraising / management of capital projects.
This is a fantastic opportunity for any individual that is passionate about dance and its role in society, and who would like to contribute to the overall direction of their small and yet very ambitious organisation.
Founded in 1976 as a charity established to champion the role of dance artists in society, they create opportunities for people of all ages, abilities and backgrounds to access dance and benefit from its transformative power. Inviting people to participate in a range of dance groups and professional development opportunities, as well as attend an enticing programme of events and performances throughout the year.
They are an inclusive organisation that values diversity and are proud to work in close collaboration with their Board to ensure everyone’s dancing voice can be nurtured and heard. This includes participants, audiences, artists and other organisations.
They would particularly welcome applications from disabled, Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) and/or young (18+) candidates in an attempt to address past under-representation in the dance sector.
As a member of our Board, you will help them to monitor the progress of their programme, finance and other strategic/artistic developments, and will join in advocating for the future of dance.
