Animated
The community dance magazine, published by the Foundation for Community Dance. Written largely by dance practitioners themselves, Animated reflects community dance culture in the UK and beyond, encouraging debate, dialogue and reflection about current issues and community dance practice.
In 2002 we began the process of creating a digital archive of articles, our aim being to make this work widely and freely available and accessible through our website. This can be found in animated: the community dance magazine which now contains over 630 records - the largest and most comprehensive archive of its kind. Articles include interviews, project and programme reports, debate and opinion about current and past policy initiatives and a whole host of articles linked to specific themes, contexts and peoples. The archive is fully searchable by author, summary of text, title of article, category and subject to help you to narrow your search.

If you would like to receive your own copy of Animated, you need to be a member of the Foundation for Community Dance. For information visit membership.
